A Rare Brush With Royalty: The Michael Jackson Connection

Known for crafting headline-grabbing creations for championship athletes, royalty and entertainment legends like Drake and Rihanna, Arasheben admits there is only one moment in his storied career where he truly felt starstruck. Recounting his early days in the industry, he detailed an unforgettable visit to Neverland Ranch with Michael Jackson.”That was a dream come true because I have literally never been starstruck… but one time,” Arasheben shared.
“I got a chance to go to Neverland Ranch, and Michael gave me a tour of Neverland Ranch himself. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. He was so kind, so nice, and the fact that I was able to make a family heirloom, his family crest… I made diamond pieces for his family crest… that was a dream come true.”
Beyond the custom diamond family crest, walking the grounds left a lasting impression on Arasheben. He recalled seeing giraffes and elephants roaming the property and visiting Jackson’s private, standalone movie theater.
“Michael Jackson cannot go to a movie theater. How is he going to have that experience with his children? He cannot. So what do you do? He builds a movie theater on his land so he could experience the same type of thing that all of us here take for granted,” Arasheben reflected. “For me, to sit back and see that and also comprehend the fact that yes, we all look up to Michael Jackson and envy his wealth and fame, but there is also a part of that life that I do not envy. It took me having that experience to really understand that.”
Redefining Championship Rings & Legendary Engineering

For Arasheben, creating high-profile jewelry is about far more than drafting a clean design; it is about capturing a full season of triumph in a single piece. He explained that whether crafting personal pieces or major title rings, every creation must tell the recipient’s personal journey, aesthetic and narrative.
That philosophy opened the doors to his defining career moment in 2009. Having grown up an avid basketball fan with no athletic ability, Arasheben sought a way to integrate into NBA culture. After building close relationships with players like Trevor Ariza and Andrew Bynum, as well as Jessie Buss (son of late Lakers owner Jerry Buss), he pitched Lakers executives Jeanie Buss and Tim Harris following their 2009 title win. Landing the Lakers championship ring contract marked the ultimate convergence of sports and luxury jewelry.
Since entering the championship ring market, Jason of Beverly Hills has consistently disrupted the status quo against legacy giants like Jostens and Tiffany’s.
Inspired by childhood Transformer toys, Arasheben introduced groundbreaking mechanical innovations never before seen in sports history, including video montages, popping wings and removable tops.
“We had to do something that would allow us to stand out,” Arasheben stated.
“When we did the 2018 Warriors ring, it was one of the first rings we did that really had a technical feature to it. We devised a way where the top can come off and you can switch the color from blue to white… It birthed a new spirit and innovativeness behind making rings.”
That creative freedom reached new heights with the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl ring. Backed by team owners Stan and Josh Kroenke and encouraged by client friends Odell Beckham Jr. and Jalen Ramsey, Arasheben was given a blank check to build the greatest ring in NFL history. Similar creative collaborations unfolded with Clara Wu Sai and Joe Tsai for the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces, where he teamed up with local Brooklyn designers to craft rings that featured removable wearable earrings.
He also noted that the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl ring stood out as his most technically complex engineering feat due to the internal springs and levers required to make the wings pop open.
Tunnel Culture, Global Style and Future Ambitions

Arasheben also highlighted how the rise of tunnel walk culture and social media over the last six years has transformed how athletes view their wardrobe.
With pre-game arrival looks now tied directly to personal branding and major endorsement deals, players have become far more intentional, working with professional stylists to curate high-end accessories.
When asked about global fashion hubs, Arasheben named Tokyo as the most underrated international style capital due to its forward-thinking design culture, while pointing to Atlanta as an enduring domestic wellspring of raw creativity led by style icons like Andre 3000.
Looking ahead, Arasheben remains focused on legacy over short-term trends, aiming to build pieces that hold relevance decades later.
His ultimate remaining portfolio goal hits close to home for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
“The Olympics are going to be in Los Angeles in 2028,” Arasheben said.
“What better than an L.A. manufacturer to make the Olympic gold medals?” “For me, that would be a legacy accomplishment… 40 years from now people can say the last time the Olympics were in L.A., Jason of Beverly Hills designed and made the gold medals. I will throw my hat in the ring and we will see what happens.”
Crafting the Extraordinary: The Legacy of Jason of Beverly Hills

From his humble beginnings selling wholesale silver on college campuses to founding one of the most recognizable luxury houses in the world, Arasheben built Jason of Beverly Hills into a powerhouse.

Central to his legacy is his work in iconic bespoke jewelry. Arasheben has consistently set the standard for personalized luxury, designing one-of-a-kind diamond pendants, custom watches and statement heirlooms that capture the distinct style and personal narratives of his high-profile clientele.
Beyond individual custom pieces, his impact reaches the highest levels of professional sports through his revolutionary championship ring designs.
By rethinking traditional aesthetics, he has redefined the modern standard for championship rings across major leagues, including the NBA and NFL, turning celebratory rings into intricate, story-driven works of art.
At the core of every creation is an unmatched artistry that continuously pushes creative boundaries.
