LeBron James-Bronny James Father-Son Combo “Dope” Says Two-Time Super Bowl Champ Brandon Bolden

Two-time NFL Super Bowl Champion Brandon Bolden checked in with the Scoop B Radio Podcast and discussed a myriad of things including the idea of a father son-duo in the NFL similar to LeBron James and Bronny James playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.

“The only way we’re doing that is if you graduate high school in two years and get drafted in the next two years,” said Bolden to Scoop B Radio.

“Maybe I’ll hang around for one more year, but you can’t pull this off in five years!”

Currently an NFL free agent, Bolden was a member of two Super Bowl-winning teams with New England.

In between his two Patriots stints, he played for the Miami Dolphins in 2018.

Bolden left the Patriots a second time to join the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022.

Bolden likes that both LeBron James, Bronny James and the Lakers have this father-son duo.

“I think it’s dope, to be the first father-son duo in the NBA, especially a Black father in the NBA,” he said.

“Whether I’m on the field with him in the locker room with him, I’m still going to be his daddy. He’s still going to be able to ask me whatever he needs to ask me. So we don’t got to be on the same team. We already on the same team.”

In addition to his thoughts on Bronny and LeBron, Bolden who was teammates with Tom Brady in New England, shared that Brady is a fan of The Black Mamba. “Yeah, he’s a big Kobe fan,” he said.

“Huge. Their work ethic, how they go about the game, that ‘Mamba mentality’—yeah, I see a lot of similarities between them.”

Bolden shared how Kobe visited Patriots practice: “You would have thought they met the Prince of Zamunda, how everybody was just so like, ‘Oh my God, it’s Kobe!’’

Bolden was asked whether Brady’s career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was more like MJ in Washington or LeBron currently in LA:

“I’m going to go with Jordan with the Wizards… because Jordan was in the front office before he was in the front office, you know what I mean?”

Brandon Bolden also weighed in on today’s NFL QB: “The NFL is moving towards more of a mobile quarterback scene… it’s kind of history repeating itself with the Randall Cunning’s and Michael Vick.”

Bolden also discussed Lamar Jackson: “His football IQ is on par with Drew Brees… he’s able to recognize coverages and get in and out of bad plays.”
