Kiyan Anthony, a Top-50 high school senior is living his best life and has the world watching his every move as the son of future Naismith Hall of Famer, Carmelo Anthony, has narrowed his final list of his top colleges to six.
Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State, USC and Rutgers are surely on his list.
But there’s something about Syracuse, his dad’s alma mater that is quite nostalgic. Kiyan visited the university with him dad and his mother, La La Vasquez Anthony.
Kiyan says the visit was surreal.
“It was definitely crazy seeing everything with my dad,” Kiyan Anthony told Scoop B Radio.
“Everything named after him, everything like that. So I’m looking forward to taking a second visit and then nobody knows, I might go there.”
Anthony, a 6’5 shooting guard from Long Island Lutheran High High School in Glen Head, New York also discussed a wide range of additional topics on Scoop B Radio including his choice of music and Bronny James being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers.
“It’s definitely really cool,” said Anthony of Bronny.
“It just shows that anybody could do it. I’m coming up next, and I could do it. Definitely happy for him and definitely congratulations to him.”
Anthony shared his thoughts on why LeBron James’ longevity in the NBA is impressive to him:
“Just how much money and time he puts into his body,” he said.
“Every day, he don’t got no cheat days. Him being in the gym every day for all of these years, not letting up, not one bit. I don’t think a lot of people could do that.”
Paul George is one of Kiyan’s favorite basketball players as a premier swingman in the NBA.

“I just think that the fluency he plays with and the smoothness he has to his game,” he said.
“It’s super elegant when he plays and people like that. The way he could get to a bucket whenever, that’s what people like.”
When it comes to other players in the NBA Kiyan Anthony says he loves the youth movement. “I like Paul George,” he said.
“I like Anthony Edwards. I like Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum. Everybody, I feel like I could replicate my game after.”
A native New Yorker, Kiyan Anthony also shared his excitement for the New York Knicks ater their strong surge this past season. “This past season, it was lit,” he said.
“They made a run in the playoffs. Jalen Brunson obviously doing what he is doing. So I’m just looking forward to it. We got Mikal Bridges now, looking forward to seeing what the next season holds and seeing where they get.”
